THE BOTTOM LINE
Rcently 100-150cm of new snow fall onto a very weak existing snowpack resulting in large naturaly triggered avalanches on all aspects between 3000-4000m.
There are still slopes extremely prone to Human trigger especially with the 30-40cm that is forecasted to fall in the next 24hrs which will add further load to the weak snowpack. Below Gulmarg the snow base is starting to build but remains at a Low avalanche risk due to the thin coverage.
